<Portrait Pricing Matrix>
Decide on an appropriate size, and then select the column that matches the number of subjects in the portrait to see the price. (This is subject to the conditions, above). Don't be concerned if you're unsure of the size or number of subjects. The final size and composition will be tailored to your needs as we work our way through the painting process. I offer a very personalized service with excellent communication between us.
Painting process: The Client will be emailed for an initial composition for an approval. Then, The Client will get images throughout the painting process so the client can add your input and make suggestions. The Artist will make changes as needed until the client is totally satisfied with the portrait. However, no additional payment shall be made for changes required to confirm to the original assignment description. The Client shall offer the Artist the first opportunity to make any changes.
Photograph Requirements: In order to qualify for standard pricing, photographs must be at least 3"x 5" for prints or 640 x 480 pixels (if digital). They should be focus and show reasonable detail. Portraits that involve highly detailed backgrounds or other features, such as scenery, ornate wedding dresses, and military uniforms may incur additional cost. This will be discussed and agreed on prior to any cost being added.
Portraits normally do include simple, straightforward modifications to the original photo, such as painting a shaded background, altering the color of a shirt or dress, or repositioning children for better composition. Painting out such minor annoyances such as blemishes, or "fly-away" hair is also included.
Photo Shoot Visits: In order to have right photo to begin with, we provide picture taking service for local neighbors in Northern Virginia. I personally will visit your place for photo shoot with our fully equipped digital camera and sketching pads. I recommend to customer who doesn't have a qualifying photo.
Time for Payment: A half amount of deposit from total price is required for job security reason. It must to be made by the client at the beginning of process and the balance will be collected at the completion of the artwork.
